Worth the trip
What a screen can't tell you
- Texture
- CertaGrain and TrueTexture finishes are molded from real wood and stone. On a screen they look like a photo of Vinyl. In your hand they don't.
- Colour
- Screens shift colour badly. Espresso, Hazelnut and Storm are three very different fences, and the difference doesn't survive a phone display.
- Gate feel
- Weight, hinge action and latch engagement — the part of the job most likely to annoy you daily if it's wrong.
- The shop
- Fabrication happens in the same building. Ask and you can usually see where your gate will actually be made.
Bring photos of the property, rough measurements, and your HOA rules if you have them. Mornings are quieter; Saturdays fill up.
